Expect up to 291 horsepower and an ample 262 pound-feet of torque on regular fuel. A smooth yet capable 8-speed automatic transmission helps deliver power to the front wheels on most trims, starting with the basic LX and S trims. 

AWD is also available on all trims, although the X-Line and X-Pro trim levels make it a mandatory feature. The ability to direct power to all four wheels lets you take the Telluride off the beaten path, but the X-Pro variants let you go even further with its selection of off-road enhancements. For starters, the X-Pro gets a bump in ground clearance to 8.4 inches along with a set of beefy all-terrain tires for maximum traction. A center-locking differential makes it easier to transfer power and produce grip where it’s needed most. A self-leveling suspension helps eliminate sag and take advantage of the X-Pro’s 5,500-pound towing capacity, making it the perfect SUV for most towing endeavors.
